A Few things to Remember about Toxicity
&
pH Balance

Over acidity, this can become a dangerous condition that weakens all body systems, and is very common today. It gives rise to an internal environment conducive to disease, as opposed to a pH balanced environment which allows normal body function necessary for the body to resist disease. A healthy body maintains adequate alkaline reserves to meet emergency demands. When excess acids must be neutralized our alkaline reserves are depleted leaving the body in a weakened condition. A pH balanced diet, according to many experts, is a vital key to health maintenance.

Most people who suffer from unbalanced pH are acidic. This condition forces the body to borrow minerals—including calcium, sodium, potassium and magnesium—from vital organs and bones to buffer (neutralize) the acid and safely removes it from the body. Because of this strain, the body can suffer severe and prolonged damage due to high acidity—a condition that may go undetected for years.

PH imbalances can cause such problems as:

  • Weight gain, obesity and diabetes & Immune deficiency.
  • Bladder and kidney conditions, including kidney stones.
  • Cancer
  • Hormone concerns.
  • Osteoporosis; weak, brittle bones, hip fractures and bone spurs.
  • Joint pain, aching muscles and lactic acid buildup.
  • Low energy and chronic fatigue.
  • Slow digestion and elimination.
  • Yeast/fungal overgrowth.
We need to consume at least 60% alkaline-producing foods in our diet by including plenty of fresh fruits and particularly vegetables (alkaline-producing) to balance our necessary protein intake (acid-producing).Many of the food we commonly eat, like animal protein like meat and eggs, sugar, caffeine, milk, cheese, processed foods are acidic. Avoid alcoholic drinks as well as soft drinks containing artificial sweeteners that dump more acid into you body.

Leafy vegetables, such as celery, lettuce, spinach and wheat grass are rich in sodium and are alkalizing foods. Parsley, plantain, aloe vera and cucumber are highly alkaline. Where possible, you may be better off using stevia ( a natural plant-based sugar), maple syrup and raw honey instead of sugar.
Most fruits, especially citrus fruits like lemons and oranges are alkaline.  Almonds are the best alkalizing amongst the nuts.

Just remember, everything in moderation, you are your bodies gate-keeper and it is up to you to take care of yourself!
